At Eden Ski & Snowboard School, we believe that besides having an expert knowledge of alpine skiing or snowboarding, a good instructor must be able to create a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment and be, first of all, a good teacher. All our instructors are emphatic, patient and with excellent communication skills. They love skiing and snowboarding and sharing their passion with other people.
All our ski and snowboard instructors are authorized by the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection for conducting their teaching activity on the slopes, according to COR 342214 and are members of the Snow Pro Association (The Professional Ski Instructors Association of Romania), an affiliate of ISIA (International Ski Instructors Association).
Internationally accredited ski instructors
An important part of our team is formed by people with extensive teaching experience abroad in countries such as Austria, Switzerland, New Zealand and Japan and they are accredited as ski or snowboard instructors in the respective countries as well. They are active members of BASI (British Association of Snowsport Instructors), NZSIA (New Zealand Snowsports Instructor Alliance) or OSSV Snowports Austria.

Eden Ski School's Location
At Eden Ski School we offer an unique teaching infrastructure to our clients - the only private slope in Poiana Brasov which our school has exclusive access to. The slope features a magic carpet which is much easier to use by beginners than the bottom lift and the slope is not busy. Hence, the lessons we deliver have up to 250% efficiency since no time is wasted queuing.
The location of our rental centre and ski school is the best possible. We are only 50 meters away from the beginners slope Bradul and the cable car Capra Neagra which takes skiers to all altitude slopes on the mountain suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. For the clients that prefer to use the Postavarul Express Cable Car we offer free transfers to the ski slope in our own 8+1 seater ski shuttle car, which is prepared for our clients' comfort.

Skiing and education are my biggest passions and Eden Ski School is my dream project. Running the ski school, I rely on my 15 years of experience in educational management and my passion for nature, the mountains and sport. Outside the ski season, I design and run different educational projects and I organize hiking expeditions. I am an authorized ski instructor, member of the Romanian Ski Instructors Association which is affiliated to the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA). I am also an accredited BASI (British Association of Snowsport Instructors) as an alpine ski instructor, I am a trainer and an authorized mountain guide. I graduated from the Romanian's Red Cross first aid course and the course "Safeguarding Children in Wintersports" (UK). I strongly believe that a true porfessional is always looking for ways to keep up to date with the newest developements in the industry she works in and this is why I am regularly attending professional development courses in Austria, Italy and Switzerland. I was born in Brasov and the mountains have always been my backyard. Since I was a little boy I learnt to ski and to enjoy hiking in the mountains, where I truly feel I am the best version of myself. Although I practice other sports as well, nothing compares to skiing for me, which has always been and remains my biggest passion. I started my ski instructor career 15 years ago when I realized it brings me accomplishment to teach others the joys of slinding on snow. I worked as a ski instructor for groups of Romanian tourists in Kitzbuhel, Austria and then I worked for 8 years at the biggest ski school in Romania, where I gained a vast experience in working with any kind of clients, of any age and level, before joining the team at Eden Ski School. In the summer I like mountain biking and hiking. I am an authorized ski instructor, member of the Romanian Ski Instructors Association which is affiliated to the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA).

I was introduced to skiing as a child and it remained the most important part of my life. It is the only sport that brings me total satisfaction, the joy of being in nature, on the highest mountain peaks and the feeling of freedom which no other sport gives me. I started my career as a ski instructor 11 years ago in Austria, where I also gained my qualifications up to the highest interntional standard of ISIA. I worked in Austria for 8 years and in Japan for one year before joining Eden Ski School in Poiana Brasov. I love teaching alpine skiing and explaining all technical aspects of skiing and if there would be snow all year round, I would not do anything else and I wouldn't get bored just teaching skiing 365 days a year. I am a member of the Interntional Ski Instructors Association (ISIA) where I have obtained the highest standard qualification.

Although I was born and raised in Cluj Napoca, I learned to ski when I was 3 years old in Poiana Brasov, which I still remember as being the most beautiful ski resort in the world through the lenses of my young eyes. Skiing for me is pure passion borderlining obsession, as soon as it starts snowing I cannot think about anything else. I want to be on the ski slopes every day, enjoying the snow and teaching others what it means to practice a wintersport safely and what physical and mental benefits it can bring one. As a ski instructor, I started my carrer in Kaprun, Austria where I also obtained my qualifications and where I taught for several years before joinging Eden Ski School in Poiana Brasov. I am an authorized ski instructor, member of the Interntional Ski Instructors Association (ISIA). In the summer, I like cycling and fishing, while I am waiting for the next snowfall.

I consider patience to be the most important quality a ski instructor can posses. I enjoy communicating with my clients, understanding their needs and fears and personalising each ski lesson to respond to the needs and personality of each client. Skiing made its appearance in my life in a beautiful sunny winter morning more than 30 years ago. Since I have Consider că răbdarea este cea mai importantă calitate pe care o poate avea un instructor de ski. Îmi place să comunic cu oamenii, să le înțeleg nevoile și temerile și să personalizez fiecare lecție de ski astfel încât să răspund nevoilor și caracterului fiecărui client în parte. Schiul și-a făcut loc în viața mea acum mai bine de 30 de ani, într-o dimineață frumoasă de iarnă. Încă din prima zi când am pus schiurile în picioare, am știut că relația mea cu acest sport este pe viață. Ca instructor, am început să activez în Austria, în St. Johann Alpendorf, după care m-am alăturat echipei școlii de ski Eden din Poiana Brașov. Iubesc să lucrez atât cu adulți, cât și cu copii, cu care îmi place să găsesc modalități distractive de a-i face să învețe acest sport. Skiing for me represents freedom and excitement. It gives me the ability to explore the mountains and challenge my limits whilst always trying to master that ‘perfect turn’. As a native Brit I did not grow up skiing in the mountains but instead learnt to ski on holidays to France. As I grew older I made trips across Europe and also to New Zealand in the Southern Hemisphere where I did my instructor training and qualifications with NZSIA (New Zealand Ski Instructors Association). Professionally I’m a science teacher at the International School of Bucharest and in the evenings I teach martial arts at Fortis Taekwon-Do. In the weekends and school holidays I head to the mountains to ski and help others learn this wonderful sport.
